West Heaton's traditional seasonal Opening Day went ahead for the first time in two years. The weather was kind and we enjoyed a cracking day's competition after new President Josephine Taylor had bowled the first wood and served the first tennis ball of the day.
Well done to Chris Law and Eddie Tasker for winning the Bowling and to Richard Meadowcroft and John Mandy for the Tennis.
Afternoon teas and the bar all helped to make this another really enjoyable socially-distanced step to near-normal! Well done and thanks to all who helped organise.
