Bowling Section

West Heaton has a lively, friendly bowls section which enables members of all ages and standards to play socially and competitively.

The Green
The club has a crown green which is open from April to October. Floodlights are available for evening play.
Social Bowling
There is social bowling every afternoon (except Wednesday and Saturday) when members can come down and bowl for fun.

Bowling Competitions
There are many competitions throughout the season including, ladies, mens and mixed tournaments. Some are subject to handicaps, others not.

Friendly matches
There are opportunities to play in friendly matches against local clubs at times throughout the season.

Inter-section Bowling Tournaments
There are friendly tournaments that other club members can join in with, The Intersection Competition and the Generation Junior Bowling Tournament.

Team Bowling
There are opportunities for more competitive players to play for the club teams in local leagues.

There are two ladies teams playing in the Cheadle & District league.

There are 6 mens teams, two playing in the Alderley Edge & District, one in the Stockport District, one in Cheadle & Gatley District and two in the Cheadle & Gatley veterans.
